Dedicated to Yiyue because she loves unglam shots. :p |
Group Therapy is popular for their Eggs Ben and of course I'd pick that to know what it taste like, but there was one thing that made a suppose-to-be 1minute decision, became a 10 minutes decision, VEGETABLES. Some part inside me couldn't accept my selection because the Eggs Ben isn't served with Vegetables. T_T So I proceed to look at the other options available. Andddd 10 minutes later I decided to stick to my Eggs Ben choice and to get additional serving of vege, which cost me $5. We ordered their "Gold Rush" waffles (2 scoops of homemade icecream with salted egg York sauce) for our second stomach. The bill was $26 per pax and this term came up:
Cafe-hopping might sound trendy, but this "trendy" could make your pocket empty.
Coffees, Eggs Ben, Waffles and froyo are delicious! Cafes are the most popular hangout place for teens, working adults, moms and probably anyone who knows. I am one of them who can't reject waffle icecreams :p
Just estimating if every alternate days we spend $26 for lunch or teabreak, it will be $26 x 15 days = $390 per month! Not including our dinners weekdays which could be home-cooked or takeaways @ $5? Weekend dinners which would probably cost another $25-$30, and other snacks we crave for on other days :O Aite, you can continue calculating. We can happily spend more than $500+ just on food and we don't know because we didn't do the math. We should start calculating our expenses spent on enjoying food our eyes want to eat, not our body.
My ex-boss once told me, we need to spend no matter what. So think of ways to earn more money, instead of trying to purchase the cheaper goods. I agree with him, but of course this sentence doesn't mean he splurge on the most expensive meal daily.
A & I have decided to set on a journey: looking for delicious food below $5. It could be simply a plate of Wanton mee, Nasi Lemak or Fish & Chips. Of course we could still have waffle icecream occasionally hehehe :D & I'm loving this plan of ours!
Till next time,
